Chomu Bagh is a heritage farm retreat envisioned and developed by Colonel Thakur Jitendra Singhji Nathawat of Chomu, a distinguished member of the Chomu nobility. Born on 25th September 1952 in Jaipur, he is the son of Thakur Bharat Singh Ji, the eighth son of Thakur Devi Singh Ji of Chomu. A product of Sainik School, Chittorgarh, and a graduate of NDA and IMA, Col. Jitendra Singh was commissioned into the Armoured Corps in 1972 with the 45 Cavalry Regiment and later served with the 82 Armoured Regiment. After a notable military career, he retired in 2006 with the rank of Colonel.
Col. Jitendra Singh married Late Thakurani Lalita Kumari of Thikana Siriyari, Pali, on 13th March 1974. She was the second daughter of Thakur Dalpat Singh of Siriyari, and together, they shared a deep appreciation for Rajasthani heritage, culture, and hospitality.
Following his retirement, Col. Jitendra Singh successfully ran Bharat Mahal Palace Hotel in Jaipur for over 19 years, which has since been transformed into DYORE House by Bharat Mahal Palace. With the same dedication and vision, he began developing Chomu Bagh, a serene countryside estate that reflects the legacy of the Nathawat family while embracing the elegance of modern living.
Chomu Bagh is more than just a heritage farm—it is a living tribute to tradition, thoughtfully designed with lush gardens, timeless architecture, and the warm spirit of Rajasthani hospitality. Every element of the property echoes the family’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage, offering guests an immersive experience that balances historical richness with contemporary comforts.
Whether you’re seeking a peaceful weekend getaway, a culturally enriched stay, or a venue for special occasions, Chomu Bagh offers a uniquely personal and memorable retreat rooted in Rajasthan’s royal past.
